Located in the quiet windward village of Waimanalo Hawaii, on Oahu’s eastern side, Waimanalo Beach Cottages provides you with all the natural beauty of Hawaii, without the hustle and bustle associated with other destinations. Life moves at a slower pace in Waimanalo. Our community is populated primarily by folks of Hawaiian descent, letting you get a feel for what true Hawaiian culture is all about.


When you stay at Waimanalo Beach Cottages, you’re only a couple of minutes from beautiful Waimanalo Beach. With its azure blue waters, relaxing waves, and sparkling white sands, this beach is rarely crowded. On weekdays, you might find that you have the beach entirely to yourself.

At Waimanalo Beach Cottages, we offer nine unique vacation cottages. Our cottages include all the modern amenities you've come to expect, including free WiFi, flat-screen TV, and cable. Each cottage also has a seating area, kitchen, and private bathroom, with a shower and bath. Private parking is included, as well. There are a variety of diverse activities you can enjoy when you stay at Waimanalo Beach Cottages. Relax on Waimanalo Beach. Visit Waimanalo Bay State Park. Play a few rounds of golf at Olomana Golf Club. You'll also have the opportunity to try yoga, pony rides, or fishing.

Waimanalo is one of Oahu’s best kept secrets. With pristine and secluded beaches, plenty of hiking trails with stunning views, and a peaceful atmosphere, Waimanalo is the best place on the island for the whole family to relax and explore.

We had such a great 2 weeks here, with 12 of us total. If you want to get away from the bustle of Waikiki, this is a great place. 2 minute walk to the beach, and we got our money's worth of boogie board and bodysurfing every day.

Currently spending 2 weeks in this great little place that is definitely off the beaten path. We are in cottage #1 which is a simple little efficiency that is clean and well appointed with everything we need.

Ku'uipo Kumukahi is a highly acclaimed entertainer known for her mastery of the slack-key guitar and soothing vocals. Her musical journey has been marked by numerous nominations and awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Traditional Hawaiian Album of the Year. With her remarkable talent and passion for preserving Hawaiian music, Ku'uipo Kumukahi promises an enchanting evening filled with heartfelt performances and unforgettable memories.


Join us on Wednesday, October 18th for a special musical performance from Ledward Keapana. Led Kaapana’s mastery of stringed instruments, particularly slack key guitar, and his extraordinary baritone and leo ki`eki`e (falsetto) voices, have made him a musical legend. He has been thrilling audiences for more than 40 years. With easy-going style and kolohe (rascal) charm, he has built a loyal corps of Led Heads from Brussels to his birthplace on the Big Island of Hawaii. Recognition by his peers earned Led 4 Grammy nominations in his own right and 2 wins on slack key compilations. The Performance is brought to you by the Kahala Initiative for Sustainability Culture and the Arts (KISCA).

At Plumeria Beach House, we make every effort to source quality ingredients for our dishes. We are proud to support local farmers and introduce their premium ingredients to our guests. This quarter, we would like to feature one of The Kahala Hotel & Resort’s Signature offerings, "Gratin of Big Island Abalone".

Big Island Abalone operates an ethically raised, solar-powered abalone farm on the Kona coast of Hawai’i island. Kona abalone are raised in pristine, deep seawater and are high in nutritional value, including protein and collagen.


Our Gratin of Big Island Abalone is served with a house-made warm baguette and can be enjoyed at Plumeria Beach House.
